Joe CRM here for a somewhat untraditional post. I've kind of gone behind R&D's back, so I'm probably not making any new friends in that department this week!
I know the R&D team at PowerObjects is working fast and furious developing for the new Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 release. I know they've got all the PowerPack add-ons compatible for the upgrade to CRM 2013. But I didn't know they were already making significant headway into optimizing them to take advantage of CRM 2013 features.
I mean, check this guy out.
He obviously did not want me taking pictures!
What I saw on his screen was a slick new version of PowerGlobalSearch with native integration into CRM 2013.
I tricked one of the developers into sharing a screenshot of PowerGlobalSearch 2013 with me. He probably didn't think I would stab him in the back by posting it on the blog. He should have known that Joe CRM plays by his own set of rules. Sucker!
At this point I can only guess at what is being developed by the PowerObjects R&D team, but looking at the screenshot, it appears they have found a way to leverage CRM grid and load data into the CRM chart view, or they have developed controls that look exactly like CRM 2013. I'm hesitant to say exactly what I think this means, so I'll let readers come to their own conclusions…
I don't know when we will see the new PowerPack features released or any details about the design, features and implementation, but based on what I've seen, I can't wait to see new add-ons redesigned for 2013!
Happy (sneaky) CRM'ing!
