We've talked about forms in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, from role-based to quick-create, but today let's talk about the labels on those forms. In Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013, field labels do not currently wrap. If a label is longer than the allotted size, users will see fading text instead of the entire label.
Don't worry—you don't need to create elaborate abbreviations for field labels. Today's blog will help you out!
Notice that the field label below, Preferred Method of Contact, fades off on the contact form.
There are a few options for displaying the entire label.
You can also shorten labels or place fields in a section of the form that has fewer columns. Regardless of the solution you choose, there is no need for fading field labels!

Hi, We have a new CRM2013 implementation and are experiencing these issues when the label is placed above the field. In some cases, the label is a fairly long question our Contact Centre need to read to the customer and it won't fit in the 250 max width the form will let me set for a side label.
Do you have any suggestions for ensuring the whole long label can be seen, but avoiding using the label above field layout due to the issues it causes? is there a JS solution?
Many thanks,
Vicki
@joeCRM - I am having an issue with the displaying label above the field. It seems that I can select the option, publish the changes etc. However when I view the update form, the input fields are missing.
As you can see in the image, the section above handles the above placed labels as expected.
Any idea? Appreciate any response.
Cheers

Hi Kyle - interesting. Do you have any JS on the form? Does your on prem crm have either SP1 ?
@alexfagundes:disqus - I have noticed that when the Field Label Position is set to "Top" then read only fields don't show as Read only as they would normally. Please see screenshots
THanks for sharing the screen shot. Is this still happening? we think this is a bug and did see this a couple weeks ago, but can NOT replicate this at the moment. If still happening, let us know what crm version you are using and update rollup level. Thanks!!
Not a great solution for a long label or for a question like - Is JoeCRM a CRM superhero who runs on pure Microsoft Dynamics CRM adrenaline? hmm. maybe not.
Couldnt you just create a new field that is of type multiple line of text above the answer field, and set the question as the default value of that field via business rule and also set as read only. Then you can adjust the size of the text area accordingly...
