It’s always exciting when a new version of any tool is announced but there’s that little nagging voice in the back of your head telling you to be cautious – you know, the “what if” voice. When you’re installing a new version of any of the PowerPack add-ons, you don’t have to worry. None of your customizations will be erased when you update PowerPack add-ons (if you don’t want them to be).
Here is our quick 3-step process for installing the newest versions of PowerPack:
Download the latest and greatest version and save it somewhere on your computer. (You can find all of the PowerPack add-ons here)
Import the new version ON TOP OF the old one (do NOT delete the previously installed version). You will see a yellow bar at the top telling you that you are installing an update to a solution that is already installed. Click next.
Activate – You then have the choice of maintaining customizations or overwriting customizations. Select the one you’d prefer. Also MAKE SURE to check the “Activate any processes…” box. This is important. Select Next. The newest version will now install over the previous version.
Voila! You are now equipped with your new and improved version of a PowerPack add-ons. If you have any questions about any of the PowerPack add-ons, remember to contact our PowerPack Pro!
