Using the PowerWebForm Add-on for Recruiting in Dynamics CRM

Post Author: Joe D365 |

Hello PowerWebForm enthusiasts! We've got good news for you. PowerObjects has just released a pretty great enhancement to this internet lead capture add-on for Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Now you can browse for and submit a file using PowerWebForm!

Let's take a look at a scenario where this new feature would come in handy.

Your company has been doing so well that it's time to start hiring. You need to collect all of those candidates' information and enter it in CRM. Never fear—now you can allow your potential recruits to submit their information and their resumes through PowerWebForm on your website, and that info will be brought directly into CRM!

It just takes a few simple steps to use PowerWebForm for recruiting in Dynamics CRM:

  1. Create a custom PowerWebForm in Microsoft Dynamics CRM to collect information from interested candidates.
  2. Add a new form field for resume uploads. The field type "File Upload" will allow applicants to upload attachments.
  3. Post the web form live on your site. It should look something like this:

This new feature will not only allow candidates to enter their contact information, select the job they wish to apply for, and submit their resume—all on your website—but their information is also passed directly into Dynamics CRM. If the candidate is not in your CRM system, a new record is created and the resume is attached to the notes section. If the applicant is already in your system, the new information will be appended to their current record, rather than creating a duplicate record.

Pretty snazzy huh? So what are you waiting for? Get out there and start making PowerWebForm magic happen!

Happy CRM'ing!
