Press Release: PowerObjects Releases PowerSMS, a Microsoft Dynamics CRM SMS Add-on for Sending Texts to any CRM Entity

PowerObjects, a professional services firm 100% focused on Microsoft Dynamics CRM, has just released PowerSMS, an add-on that allows users to send text messages from Dynamics CRM to leads, contacts, accounts and more. This tool gives users another channel of communication to take advantage of within Dynamics CRM, enabling them to reach out to customers on their mobile devices.

“PowerSMS gives users a fast, easy way to communicate with their customers and prospects,” says Cecilie Svensgaard, manager of PowerObjects’ suite of PowerPack add-ons for Microsoft Dynamic CRM. “It lets you quickly access people in your database so you can push out timely reminders, promotions and thank-you messages. Plus, you can track a customer’s SMS history, so all CRM users can see past text communications with that customer.”

The add-on integrates Microsoft Dynamics CRM with CallFire, an SMS platform that automates sending text messages. After the initial PowerSMS set-up, users can manage all texting to customers from within Dynamics CRM.

“Another great feature of PowerSMS is that it can be configured to send out texts automatically,” says Svensgaard. “Let’s say you use Dynamics CRM to manage service appointments. With PowerSMS, you can set up workflows to automatically remind customers of upcoming appointments. You wouldn’t have to send that message manually.”

PowerObjects will be demonstrating PowerSMS at Convergence 2013, Microsoft’s biggest Dynamics conference of the year, which takes place in New Orleans from March 18-21.

“We’re not simply demoing PowerSMS at Convergence,” says Jim Sheehan, COO at PowerObjects. “We’ll be showing people real, practical applications of the tool that pertain to their experience at Convergence. So, for instance, we’ll be giving away a free Surface tablet every day at our expo booth. Everyone who signs up to receive it that day will get a text message reminder before the drawing so they can make sure to be there to claim a prize if they win. How do they get that text? Through PowerSMS.”

This Dynamics CRM SMS add-on is available for a free 30-day trial on the PowerObjects website.
