PowerObjects is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Developer to join their award-winning, global team. This person will act as a technical SME for customer and internal teams on Dynamics F&O projects (implementations, customizations, migrations, etc.) The individual may be responsible for one or more aspects of the project, including extending Dynamics 365 F&O through simple to complex extensions, customizations, UI/backend development, and more. Other responsibilities include project management, configuration, data, and support. The candidate must be extremely detail-oriented, have the ability to multitask, be meticulously organized, and be able to prioritize multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.


Essential Functions

  • Participate in the design and architecture sessions with clients and fellow consultants to gather and document project requirements
  • Assist with architecting the Dynamics 365 F&O system and any related customizations
  • Advise customers on best practices for ERP development and integration processes
  • Write technical specifications for planned work
  • Create data migration and integration mappings
  • Mock up specifications for our overseas development team, facilitate the completion, testing, and deployment of development projects
  • Basic Dynamics 365 F&O customizations like creating entities, workflows, business rules, and system configuration
  • Guide projects along through daily communications with the customer or project manager
  • Estimate the completion of work and gain customer approval
  • Troubleshoot and resolve open technical and non-technical support issues for clients
  • Help lead a team of senior developers learning X++

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least 7-10 years of X++ experience
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft C#, ASP.NET, and Visual Studio
  • JavaScript web development experience
  • OData and JSon experience
  • GIT and DevOps experience
  • Ability to create and consume web services
  • WCF experience with inbound and outbound services
  • Advanced Object-Oriented Architecture, especially around abstract class design, along with an advanced experience with interfaces
  • Component Oriented Architecture experience with external DLLs and build management
  • Ability to explain and design complex algorithms
  • PowerApps experience around orchestrations with logic apps and basic knowledge on the CDS
  • Extensive experience connecting Azure services and the service bus
  • 4+ upgrades done from AX 2012 to Dynamics 365 F&O, in addition to 4+ upgrades in previous versions
  • Expertise in Dynamics 365 F&O Extensions and Customizations
  • Advanced knowledge around data entities, aggregated measurements, and X++ base classes for the Financial, Trade and Logistics, AR, AP, and Product Management modules
