PowerObjects is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant - Housing and Finance to join their award winning and growing team in the United Kingdom. The Functional Consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing PowerObjects’ Dynamics’ 365 Finance and Operations solution for Housing Management and finance. This person will have a wider understanding of ERP business processes from Housing Management perspective as well as extensive in Finance experience, with a background of delivery of large-scale ERP solutions preferable.


Essential Functions

  • Own of all aspects of Housing Management and finance modules, working with the business stakeholders and successful delivery of the programme
  • Work closely with the housing finance team to continue to develop best practice functionality for the housing modules
  • Assist with kick-offs, requirement gathering, and knowledge transfer sessions; evaluate the client business processes and produce business requirement document
  • Analyse client requirements and objectives, suggest Business Re-Engineering processes, eliminate non-value addition processes, and derive how best the software can address client's business process
  • Perform Fit-gap analysis, convert requirements to functional specs and functional design documents
  • Work closely with clients and other team members to define, design, and align the business application to the business requirements, in order to ensure E2E business solution delivery
  • Configure and showcase Housing Management processes/systems as to how the solution meets client business processes like Land Opportunity, Construction, Property Hierarchy structure, Leasehold Properties, Property Lettings, Tenancy Agreement & Invoicing, Utility charges, Service Charges and estimates, Customer payments, Property sales and service management
  • Configure and showcase Financial Management processes/systems as to how the solution meets client business requirements, such as Chart of Accounts, Consolidation of Accounts, Financial Reporting per Business unit/department, Exchange Rates, Intercompany Accounting, Ledger Accruals and Allocations, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank Management
  • Mentor other consultants in delivering according to client expectations; own and deliver successful completion of projects including documents, user manuals
  • Participate in the development of functional design documentation and technical specifications, unit and system test scripts, and deployment plans
  • Facilitate functional sessions and weekly status meetings with clients, including the ability to drive a client to decisions
  • Conduct functional testing of modifications and sub-processes during the implementation process
  • Engage with customer project managers, defining customer strategies and requirements, guide customers through the implementation process, configure the application according to customer requirements, develop data conversion plans
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality services and products to customers
  • Work with customer to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframe

Desired Skills

  • Detailed understanding of the U.K housing sector including rent setting and uplift, service charges and sinking funds, tenancy, arrears and voids management, long-term business planning, financial appraisals, construction and project management
  • Understanding of UK housing SORP 2014
  • Qualified Accountant or substantial experience of accountancy
  • Working knowledge on UK tax regime around CIS, VAT shelters and partial recoverability
  • Housing systems knowledge and experience
  • Experience in Housing systems implementation and integration; experience of ERP systems would be an advantage
  • Solid understanding of interoperability issues and the strengths and weaknesses of platforms and products
  • Confident and possesses effective communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and confident in delivering the solution independently
  • Think clearly and calmly under pressure
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant or significant accountancy experience/understanding
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Experience on Dynamics AX / 365 for Finance and Operations preferred
  • Experience on Real estate or home services projects preferred
