PowerObjects is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant - Property Development Specialist to join their award winning and growing team in the United Kingdom. The Functional Consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing PowerObjects’ Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solution for property development. This will encompass all areas of pre-construction including opportunity management, land acquisition, financial appraisal, site modelling with CAD and BIMs integrations and project management. The candidate should have specialist knowledge of the above areas.


Essential Functions

  • Own all aspects of property development projects within the PMA module of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, working with the business stakeholders and successful delivery of the programmes
  • Work closely with clients and other team members to define, design and align the business application to the business requirements, to ensure E2E business solution delivery
  • Work closely with the PowerProperty team to develop best practice functionality around pre-construction, construction, property development, and project management
  • Continue the design and implementation of the opportunity management and financial appraisal functionality within the system
  • Lead on the integration of CAD / BIMs solutions with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • Assist with kick-offs, requirement gathering, and knowledge transfer sessions
  • Perform Fit-gap analysis, requirement analysis; convert requirements to functional specs and functional design documents
  • Configure, Test, and Demo standard project management and accounting module in Dynamics 365 for construction projects
  • Participate in the development of functional design documentation and technical specifications, unit and system test scripts, and deployment plans, perform SIT testing
  • Own project deliverables (status reports, documentation, test plans); take personal ownership of the success of deliverables and projects
  • Conduct functional testing of modifications and sub-processes during sprints

Desired Skills

  • Significant experience within a systems or process role working with the property development industry
  • Experience of configuring and implementing systems for the construction industry
  • Substantial experience of financial & scheme appraisals and scheme modelling
  • Familiar with BIMS / CAD integrations
  • Must have extensive working knowledge of all preconstruction activities – including opportunity management, land acquisition, financial appraisal, site modelling with CAD and BIMs integrations and project management
  • Should be aware of agile & sure step implementation methodology
  • Should be aware of key project module areas like WBS, Revenue recognition, Customer & Vendor retentions, Funding sources & Forecast and budgeting
  • Ability to analyse client requirements and objectives to determine how software can best meet client's requirement and objectives
  • Excellent communication skills along with good analysis and documentation skills
  • Possess a positive and can-do approach
  • Work in a collaborative environment
  • Appropriate Microsoft certifications
  • Knowledge of the U.K Housing sector advantageous
  • Appropriate Microsoft certifications – or a willingness to quickly become certified
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Experience on Dynamics AX / 365 Finance and Operations essential
  • Hands on experience on Microsoft project server preferred
  • Experience on U.K Housing, financial appraisal product and the construction process preferred
