The Internal Application Trainer drives, creates desire around, and develops educational training content related to PowerObjects' & HCL's systems. This cross-departmental role focuses heavily on clear, effective communication with the use of interpersonal, intercultural, and organizational communication skills to empower users.


Essential Functions

  • PowerU collaborator
  • Create and maintain course content for PowerU courses as assigned
  • Monitor, maintain and reply to PowerU inbox communications
  • Conduct in person trainings for new hire induction/orientation on a weekly basis
  • Act as the liaison for new hires to get the right people involved in problems that may arise via PowerU inbox and/or Yammer
  • Create PEEKS (OneNote) pages and keep content up to date as change occurs
  • Support PowerU success with the following tasks
  • Assigning the appropriate curriculum to new employees
  • Get new employee MCPIDs associated with PowerObjects in coordination with Sales Operations and the Relationship Manager who manages our competencies.
  • Supporting the successful delivery of PowerU courses with communications to the instructor, remote Webinar setup and/or monitoring the classroom experience
  • Maintain documentation and FAQs on HCL Systems
  • Document Talent processes, as needed, in OneNote
  • Organizational Communication
  • Analyze, develop and deliver verbal and written messages to a variety of stakeholders
  • Support global onboarding efforts by taking meeting notes, documenting processes and decisions and distribution to stakeholders
  • Act as a continued resource in improving a variety of organizational communications
  • Promote business interests with effective and efficient communication
  • Integration efforts relating to PowerObjects system changes
  • Ability to act as Project Manager on interdepartmental team projects
  • Collaborate, create content with and be the connection to the PowerObjects IT Department
  • Manage and create course and video content for HCL Integration efforts
  • Incentivize organizational change and promote positivity regarding change
  • Acting point person efforts in addition to monitoring the completion rate among internal employees
  • Maintain documentation and FAQs on PO and HCL systems
  • Participate in weekly team meetings by actively listening to issues and contributing ideas
  • Additional tasks assigned, as needed

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communication related field
  • Exhibit PowerObjects’ Guiding Principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to lead and facilitate across all levels of the organization
  • Knowledgeable in Change Management theories and methodology
  • Strong intercultural, interpersonal and organizational communication skills
  • Ability to quickly engage and gain trust of cohorts
  • Professional demeanor
  • Advanced organizational skills
  • Experience working with relational databases (Microsoft Dynamics 365 proficiency a plus)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, OneNote, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must be located in our Headquarters in Minneapolis, MN, USA

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with webinar tools such as GoToMeeting, Skype and WebEx
  • Familiarity with Yammer a plus
  • Familiarity with Camtasia and Adobe Captivate a plus
