HCL Technologies' Microsoft Business Applications Practice ("MBAP" formerly, PowerObjects) is seeking a Senior Dynamics 365 CRM Development Consultant to join our award-winning and growing team. The Senior D365 CRM Development Consultant will act as a technical SME for customer and internal teams on Dynamics 365 CRM projects (implementations, customizations, migrations, etc.). The individual may be responsible for one or more aspects of the project, including extending Dynamics 365 CRM through simple to complex customizations, UI/backend development, and more. Other responsibilities include technical oversight, project management, configuration, data, and support. The candidate must be extremely detail-oriented, have the ability to multitask, be meticulously organized, and be able to prioritize multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions

  • Leading and participating in design and architecture sessions with clients and fellow consultants to gather and document project requirements
  • Architecting the D365 CRM system and any related customizations
  • Advising customers on best practices for D365 CRM development and integration processes
  • Writing technical specifications for planned work
  • Creating data migration and integration mappings
  • Mocking up specifications for our overseas development team, facilitating the completion, testing, and deployment of development projects
  • Basic D365 CRM customizations, like creating entities & workflows, business rules, and system configuration
  • Leading development efforts that may involve multiple internal, client, and third-party resources
  • Mentoring other developers and participating in company initiatives
  • Guiding projects along through daily communications with the customer or project manager
  • Estimating the completion of work and gaining customer approval
  • Participating in informal and formal design and architecting sessions with fellow consultants
  • Troubleshooting and resolving open technical and non-technical support issues for clients

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technically related field (e.g., computer science, engineering, IT, etc.)
  • 3 – 7 years of experience in software development
  • Participation in multiple medium to large-scale projects
  • Microsoft certification in Dynamics 365 CRM
  • Experience with add-on products (Portals, Field Service, USD, etc.) a plus
  • Visual Studio & Azure DevOps
  • Microsoft C# & ASP.NET
  • JavaScript & web development
  • Ability to write maintainable & testable code
  • Creating & consuming web services
  • Experience with SQL Server / SSIS / SSRS
  • Solid understanding of the Dynamics 365 CRM SDK and development of plug-ins, custom workflows, and web resources
