Configuring Settings for IE 10 and CRM 2011

Post Author: Joe D365 |

As you may know, Microsoft is pushing out Internet Explorer 10. There are a few IE 10 settings that you'll need to update in preparation for using IE 10 and CRM 2011. Luckily, it's pretty simple!

By default, IE 10 does not have the Menu Bar enabled. To navigate to the compatibility settings, we must first enable the Menu Bar.

Follow the steps below to enable the Menu Bar and Compatibility Mode.

  1. Right click on the IE toolbar and mark Menu Bar.

  2. Click on Tools.
  3. Click on Compatibility View settings.

  4. Enter the name of your CRM URL and click Add.

Note: the optional settings will display all websites in Compatibility View.

That's it! For more information, you can also reference Microsoft's KB Article, Support with IE 10 and CRM 2011.

Happy CRM'ing!

    1. Hi Beckham - CRM with UR 10 and IE 10 works good. Now besure to add CRM to IE's list of trusted sites or local intranet sites AND in compatibility mode.

  1. Did you have any issues with RU 14? I find since moving to IE 10 I am getting sql time out errors and it doesn't commit changes. Discovered this when I was updating a user account with a name change, I couldn't get it to commit until I went to another PC with IE 9. I see the above change isn't needed after RU 12 so I will try removing compatabilty mode...just seeing if anyone else ran into this or if there were other bugs that I haven't discovered yet.
    Thank you
