There are so many great new features Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 Online, which was just released Q4 of 2014, Microsoft has geared the online update through a "customer-driven update process." What that means to you, is that you can now schedule your organizations Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online 2015 update via an "opt-in" model. You will have control of the update process scheduling.
All updates are managed through one centralized location, the CRM Online Administration Center.
Access to the CRM online Admin center can be done in three different ways:
The "Manage all CRM Online instances" page allows you to manage updates for all your CRM instances. At this point, you will have the option to approve this schedule or reschedule the update.
To reschedule, click on the reschedule button and follow the prompts to set up and approve a new scheduled update time.
Alternative slots are only used when an organization is not successful with their updates during their scheduled slot.
Keep in mind, approval and management of the updates can only be done by a CRM administrator. Reschedules can be done up to 24 hours prior to the update schedule slot as long as slots are available. There is a limited capacity for update slots and are given on a first come first serve basis.
After the update is approved, you can manage the progress of your update through the CRM Online Administrator Center. Here you will see the progress of the update and when the update has successfully completed.
