PowerMap: Locate Records in a Specific Area in Dynamics CRM

Post Author: Joe D365 |

Overview

When traveling to visit customers and prospects, many people would like to make the best of their trip.  That is why it is a common request for CRM to “find contacts nearby” my destination.  PowerMap can do just that!  PowerMap allows you to map groups of CRM contacts and get directions to one or more locations.  In this blog we’ll show you how to use PowerMap to show contacts (or any record) within a radius of one location.

Before you start…

Make sure your records have addresses. If you don’t have an address, it will not show on the map.

Let's get started!

  1. Navigate to your PowerMap in Microsoft Dynamics CRM using your navigation bar and select PowerMap.

  4. Select the Directions tab, enter in the zip code in A (Start) and B (End) Field then hit Enter on your keyboard.
  5. It will show one pin on the map. Zoom out to the radius you want and you will see other records in the area.
