Introducing PowerMap, a Dynamics CRM Map Add-on

Post Author: Joe D365 |

PowerMap is a brand new Dynamics CRM map add-on that gives users a visual representation of a collection of entities, all plotted by individual pins on a map. PowerMap is a very easy-to-use tool that allows users to pick a pin, pick a CRM entity, and pick a view. It then plots all points from that view on a map so users can, for example, see all of the accounts that you own on a map.

This would be handy if, say, you're traveling to a specific area and you'd like to see which of your accounts are near your destination, so that you can visit them. PowerMap can help you with that!

Besides plotting the entities on a record, users can also select a pin, and information about that record will pop open on the screen. Users can then click on the name of the record, and it will open up a separate window.

PowerMap is available for a free 30 day trial, and can be used with any CRM 2011 implementation. More information is available on the PowerMap web page.

CRMbuyer.com also did a nice write-up of the add-on, which you can read here.

Have fun, and happy CRM'ing!
