Folks – just a quick blog today to share a funny story from one of our new customers. They are getting ready for the big sales meeting and one of the topics they will be presenting is the switch to Microsoft Dynamics CRM. I can only imagine being the VP of Sales and having to prepare the team for CHANGE…something most people for some reason avoid like the plague. So in my opinion they are framing this up right by starting it off with a little humor – great way to break the ice and get everyone in the right frame of mind to be open to a better system. So they developed a Letterman style top 10 list on signs that you need a new CRM system…..drumroll please….
# 10 - Staff productivity is declining while user complaints are on the rise
# 9 - Your information is in more than one place and on multiple databases
# 8 - No one is sure if a customer issue has been resolved
# 7 - Your pipeline exists only on your conference room white board
# 6 - Your business has experienced significant growth.
# 5 - You were using Outlook 2000 when you installed your current software
# 4 – Creating sales analytics with a crayon looks more professional then what your current package can produce
# 3 - Your landscaper has a better customer management system than you do.
# 2 - You feel sick to your stomach each time you launch your current software, unsure of what "surprises" await you.
And the number one way you can tell……
# 1 - You track your sales leads on Post it Notes.
Well it made my day, although I doubt we will use it in a sales presentation, but you get the point – sometimes the pain of change is less than the status quo.
