Using LinkedIn for Lead Gen in Dynamics 365

Post Author: Joe D365 |

LinkedIn has revolutionized professional networking. From how employees search for jobs and tout their qualifications for potential employers to how organizations advertise their business, LinkedIn has become an invaluable source of information. However, how can businesses leverage that data to drive business growth, increase sales prospects, and expand their organizational reach?

With Dynamics 365, you can leverage the Dynamics 365 Connector for LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms in conjunction with LinkedIn's Campaign Manager to sync leads from sponsored content campaigns in LinkedIn back to Dynamics 365.

*Note: the LinkedIn Connector can only be used with a Dynamics 365 Online organization with the Sales app enabled.

So, what do you need in order to accomplish this?

1. Install the "Dynamics 365 Connector for LinkedIn Lead Gen" solution into your Dynamics 365 Online organization (2016 update required) from the Microsoft AppSource.

2. Create a Campaign Manager in LinkedIn (requires Company or Showcase web page and billing information provided).

3. After creating a new LinkedIn User Profile, select Authorize, which will prompt you to enter your LinkedIn Campaign Manager credentials that will sync your LinkedIn data into Dynamics 365.

That's it! While data from LinkedIn is now synced automatically to Dynamics 365, you can manually sync data using the 'Sync Submissions' button on the command bar. From there, the out of the box functionality in Dynamics 365 can be used to track leads along with their source context to build dashboards which provide users analytical insight into the effectiveness of their ad campaigns.
