Have you run into a scenario where you want to use the Scribe publisher for CRM and generate an XML file, while only using the primary key as the parameter for a DTS with SQL as source? If this is something that you would like to do, today's blog will show you how!
Scribe publisher for CRM can generate an XML file whenever there is an action (Insert, Update, or Delete) in CRM based on your settings. However, it will not be able to publish all the required data from multiple entities that might be needed for processing.
In this example below, we will publish "Sales Order Detail" record.
Then pass the salesorerdetailid key as a parameter to the DTS.
In Scribe workbench, create a user variable to accept that parameter.
And use that parameter in the source query.
And there you have it! Now you know how to pass MSMQ XML field value as parameter to a scribe job with SQL source. If you would like more information or have questions, please consider opening a support request with PowerObjects today!
