The Spring '14 Wave for Dynamics CRM has brought a new way to close a case! Have you ever wanted to close a case as resolved, but been prevented because there were Open Activities associated with it? Maybe you have a workflow that automatically creates an open task whenever a case is opened. If you want to immediately resolve the case you will receive an error message because the case has a pending task. You have to open the case record for editing, change the open task to completed or canceled, and then resolve the case. Too many clicks!

After installing the Spring '14 Wave update you are now presented with the option to have Dynamics CRM cancel all open activities. Just click Resolve Case, and Dynamics CRM will offer to cancel all open activities before resolving the case.
