CRM ExpertDear JoeCRM

My company needs to collect lead information on our website using a web form. I have installed and configured PowerWebForm but I need a little help on how I can implement a form on my website.

Thanks,

Marketing Dude

Dear Marketing Dude,

I will walk you through three different ways you can implement PowerWebForm in your environment.

To get started, open up the record that you have created in PowerWebForm. From here you can select the “Review and Deploy” button in the ribbon entity

crm and web forms

A pop up window will appear which will display how the form will look.

Now we will get into the three options of how to deployed PowerWebForm.

First Option:

Your first option is that you can copy the URL.  When you select this option, the URL is copied to your clipboard.

You will receive a confirmation pop up that the URL was copied successfully.

PowerWebForm

Here is an example of how the URL will look. With a little bit of html wizardry you could add this URL to a custom button on your website.  This coding is not included in PowerWebForm and would need to be provided by the person or organization that handles your website.

Second Option:

The second option is to copy the iFrame.

Once again you will receive a pop telling you that the iFrame has been successfully copied to the clipboard.

PowerWebForm

Below is an example of the iFrame code.  This code can now be added to your website.  The iFrame will look exactly how it displays in the preview option.

Third Option:

This last option will take some technicalprogramming skill set.  If you have developer on staff this should be an easy task for them.

Select the Copy URL Option and then past the URL into Internet Explorer.

The form will display for you.

Right click on the form and select “View source”.

The code used to build and display the form is now available.  If you are a developer, you can now modify the look and feel of the form.

Please note that there are some required pieces in this code to update CRM so be careful on what you update and change.
