Spring ’14 Wave Update: Sign-out and Reconfigure on Tablet and Android Support

Have you installed the CRM for Tablets app? If not and you need more information on how to do so, please refer to our blog post. In the Spring '14 Wave, Microsoft has finally released the long-awaited capabilities of the mobile app: to be able to sign out of and/or reconfigure on the tablet and Android support on the organization. If you have been using the app prior to the SP1 release, you are probably aware that if you wanted to sign out or switch CRM organizations, the only way you could do this was by uninstalling and re-installing the entire app. Well, those days are long gone!

How to Sign-Out on a Windows 8 Tablet:

  1. Navigate to the Charms Menu.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select Sign Out.

How to Sign-Out on an iPad/Android Tablet:

 

  1. Navigate to the Command Bar.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select Sign Out.

After Sign-out

After signing out (on either tablet), the credentials field will reappear and you can sign in again as a different user:

How to Reconfigure to Sign into a Different Organization on a Windows 8 Tablet:

 

  1. Navigate to the Charms Menu.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select Reconfigure.

On an iPad/Android Tablet:

1. Navigate to the Command Bar and select Settings.

2. Select Reconfigure.

After Reconfigure

After opting to reconfigure (on both tablets), the URL entry screen will reappear and you may insert the URL of the next organization you want to configure.

Android Support:

Some Android devices are now officially supported by Microsoft. The fully tested devices which are supported, are listed below. Please keep in mind that there may be some differences in experience between the devices:
