Dear JoeCRM,
Help me Joe CRM, you are my only hope! Yesterday was Valentine's Day and I was so caught up in the hustle and bustle of every-day CRM and XRM development that I completely forgot to give a Valentine to my favorite CRM Rockstar! How can I make it up to them?
- In Trouble In Minnesota (I.T.I.M)
Dear In Trouble,
You missed Valentine's Day?! You MONSTER! I am going to be completely honest with you, I.T.I.M, Valentine's Day is the ONE day on the calendar that you want to make sure you do NOT forget about. CRM Rockstars forgive, but they never forget; you are going to need to work in order to get back into their good graces.
I've compiled a few fun and romantic tips that you can use to show your CRM Rockstar that you really care!
- Leave cute, fun little notes hidden around the office for them to find. For example, in the Rockstar's desk drawer leave a note saying 'Your dashboards are the BEST!'. In their lunch in the fridge, place a heartfelt note letting them know how great you think their work was on the latest data migration.
- Plan an unexpected vacation; of work! Nothing says "I care" like surprise side-projects, mini-projects and projects-within-a-projects for your CRM Rockstar to complete. Feeling like your data could use a good scrub? Integration scripts got you down? Not sure how to integrate you backend system with CRM? Turn your Rockstar loose and watch them perform! Rockstars always love a good challenge with a tight timeline.
- Prepare lunch for the Rockstar. Rockstars respond very favorably to traditional lunches of sandwiches and lobster tails. As a nice twist, prepare some sandwiches like you normally would but instead of just serving it plain, cut the sandwiches into wacky CRM-inspired shapes! Who wouldn't love to eat a nice Roast Beef and Ham sandwich spread that has been cut into an accurate representation of your XRM systems entity relationships? "Mmmmmmm, pass me another piece of quotedetail please!"
- Coffee, always more coffee.
There you have it I.T.I.M. With the above tips you should be back on their good side in no time!
Happy CRM'ing!
