Another very nice feature of crm 2011 is that patches are delivered via windows updates. This means that administrators can leverage windows update services to granularly control when servers get updated, but the actual installation is fully automated. Alternatively the auto patch can also be set as in the case of our development servers – they patch automatically nightly. This also means that many more clients will be running crm 2011 servers fully patched with the latest and greatest patches as it will part of their weekly or monthly Microsoft patch routine.
