When setting up PowerPhone, the CRM system admin will decide which entities they would like PowerPhone to search in when a call comes in. It can be a contact, lead, account or a custom entity.
Once PowerPhone has been configured, when a call comes in, PowerPhone will automatically search through the configured records in the CRM system, and pop open the record it finds, associated with the incoming phone number. If more than one record is found, PowerPhone will display a list of records, with a handy reading pane that lets the user quickly scroll through the records and find the correct one.
