CRM 2011 UR 11 Critical Updates – Server and CRM Outlook Client

Post Author: Joe D365 |

Microsoft has released critical updates for Dynamics CRM Server and CRM 2011 Outlook Client. Both of these updates are intended for users who are currently on Update Rollup 11 (UR 11).

The UR 11 Critical Updates for the CRM 2011 Server  is targeted to users who can't upgrade past UR 11 for compatibility reasons. An example of this might be unsupported JavaScript customizations. The critical update provides all previously released Critical On Demand (COD) fixes for UR 11.

If you are on UR 11, you should apply this critical update for the server. Users who are running CRM Server Update Rollup 12 through 14 don't need to, as these fixes are incorporated into the newer rollups.

Additional things to note:

  • If you apply an update rollup after this critical update, those changes will be overwritten. Microsoft recommends that you do not apply any current update rollups over this CU. Instead, you should wait for the next update rollup.
  • If this update rollup is applied on top of UR12, UR13, or UR14, you will see a message that this update rollup is not compatible.
  • You must have Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Update Rollup 11 (build 5.0.9690.2839) or an earlier version installed to apply this critical update.
