Internet Explorer Settings in order to have correct Authentication to SharePoint links embedded with-in CRM

  1. First check the protected mode is not enabled in both Internet and Local Intranet zones in the security tab. This can be checked by navigating to Tools->Internet Options in the Internet Explorer.

Click on the Security tab as highlighted in the screen shot above. Then in the lists of Zones available, click on the Internet Zone as shown in the screen shot below

Now, check if the chick box named "Enable Protected Mode (requires restarting Internet Explorer)" is un-checked. If checked, un-check this check box.

Check the following setting in the Local Intranet zone also as shown in the screen shot below:

  1. Now, add the both the URL's - CRM and SharePoint to the list of Local Intranet Sites. This is done by Navigating to the Tools->Internet Options. Click on the Security Tab and then on the Local Intranet Zone in the top area and then on the Sites button just below the zones area. Then click on the Advanced button in the subsequent window as shown in the screen shot below:

Now add the correct URL and click add ("*.crm.powerobjects.net" for Power Objects hosted customers) as shown in the screen shot below:

Now, click the close button to go out of this window and OK in the next windows.

  1. Lastly, change the custom level security settings to accommodate the authentication and mixed content settings in the Local Intranet zone. This is done by navigating to the Tools->Internet Options. Click on the Security Tab and then on the Local Intranet Zone in the top area and then on then on the custom level button in the 'security level for this zone' area. Then navigate to the "User Authentication" section which is the last in the list and select the "Automatically Logon only in the Intranet zone" which is shown in the screen shot below:

Then navigate to the "Enable Mixed Content" sub-section under the 'Miscellaneous' section in this window. Here select the Enable option as shown in the screen shot below:

Then click OK to close all the Windows. Then restart both Internet Explorer and Outlook client for these changes to take effect.

  1. Hi Joe, tried all these options but still the sharepoint documents not opening from CRM. Can you please let me know if any other setting need to be enabled. I am unable to click on the documents

      1. Hi Joe.... I have another environment thats on CRM 2015 and Sharepoint Online and we are getting an error

"This content cannot be displayed in a frame.
To help protect the security of information you enter into this website, the publisher of this content does not allow it to be displayed in a frame."

Is it because list component is deprecated? If yes is it deprectaed from CRM update 1 onwards?
