Getting signed out of Outlook CRM Client?

Post Author: Joe D365 |

Are you getting signed out of your Outlook CRM client? Today's blog from PowerObjects and Joe CRM has the quick fix for this common issue.

Most likely when this is happening, you are accessing your CRM Web Client through a bookmark or a favorite. The issue lies in the web address in your favorite/bookmarked link.

Start by accessing your Favorites in I.E.

Locate your Microsoft CRM Favorite and right mouse click on it.

When the dropdown menu appears, click on Properties

Then click on the Web Document Tab.

See what you have saved in the URL box.

Chances are, the web address that is saved in Properties is going to read something like:

https://your_company_crm_webaddress.net/loader.aspx

The web address here should be your company's "core" CRM URL/web address. It should stop right after the .com or the .net

So in the example above, you'd have to delete the /loader.aspx from the URL.

Click on OK once the web address has been edited and you should be set! With this simple change you should no longer get signed out of the Outlook CRM Client when signing into the CRM Web Client.

  1. So what do you think is the issue if it only happens to the user when they are in IFD mode and they are not using a Favorite but typing in the CRM url.
